  • Kensington Celebrates Academy’s Most Successful Charity Week

    Date: November 28th 2016

In the third week of November Kensington Aldridge Academy was jam packed with Charity Week activities as students across the four houses raised money for Crisis at Christmas, Cancer Research UK, Multiple Sclerosis Trust and West London Action for Children. Each house was allocated one day to raise money at school during break times and enrichment. It was a wonderful opportunity for our Year 12s to work with students in Year 7, 8 and 9 – with the whole school community working together great causes. • Vale Girls Score 22!

    Date: November 9th 2016

History was made on Monday 24th October 2016.  Darwen Vale’s year 10 girls football team were playing in the first round of the Lancashire Schools Under 15 Cup.

Last year they made it all the way to the final so expectations were high, but no one could foresee how this encounter would end. Opposing them were girls from Baines High School, Poulton-le-Fylde – an unknown adversary. Baines arrived ready for battle. The referee blew his whistle. and the rest, as they say, is history!

The school’s website described the girls as “Vale’s answer to Barcelona”!
