Every year students from Aldridge schools take part in Global Entrepreneurship Week, the world’s ‘largest celebration of the innovators and job creators’.

Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is a worldwide campaign which takes place annually in November. The campaign is designed to help people explore their potential as self-starters and innovators, through local, national and global activities. Each GEW Aldridge students are set an entrepreneurial challenge in keeping with the official theme.

Beki Martin, Chief Executive of the Aldridge Foundation, which helps promote and develop entrepreneurship in our schools and their local communities, said “Global Entrepreneurship Week is a key part of the Aldridge school year and our academies put a lot into it. We look forward to our students getting together and putting the skills they have been developing all year into action. Entrepreneurial skills are obviously vital to businesses, and to the national economy – but they have a big impact on learning and achieving goals in all areas of our lives – so we encourage even our youngest students that they can benefit from an entrepreneurial mindset.’’
