Anne is the Academic Partner for Sudell Primary School, Darwen.
She has over thirty years experience of teaching and leadership in primary schools, serving pupils across all year groups and from varying socio-economic backgrounds. This experience has included ten successful years as head teacher of a North West primary school, during which time she led the school from being of serious concern to being judged outstanding in all areas by Ofsted.
The school was also graded as outstanding, three times over a ten year period, by Section 48, RE Inspectors.
During her time as a head teacher, Anne also worked as a School Improvement Partner, a Local Leader of Education, a NCSL Professional Partner and an RE Inspector, supporting various schools in all aspects of school improvement and leadership.
Since her retirement from headship in 2012, Anne has worked as an independent educational consultant providing professional development, support and challenge to head teachers, leadership teams, teachers, support staff and governors. She has also continued to carry out RE inspections and supports the Headteacher Performance Management Process for a North West Local Authority.
Between 2012-2013 Anne served as the Primary Adviser to the Co-operative Society, supporting the sponsorship of a number of schools converting to Academy status.
Anne attained the Professional Qualification for School Inspectors in 2014 and has been selected to continue to work as an OFSTED Inspector under the September 2015 framework.
