Lindy Barclay had 32 years’ experience in secondary schools and was a Head of Department, a Deputy Head and latterly the Headteacher of a very successful inner city comprehensive. She helped lead the school to four consecutive ‘outstanding’ Ofsteds. Throughout her professional life she has maintained a deep commitment to staff engagement and well-being, and this helped her school achieve the top Investors in People Champion and Gold Award.
Lindy now works as a school improvement consultant and trainer, running a wide range of courses and working closely with school leaders. She has designed and delivered courses to promote outstanding teaching and learning and has worked with delegates from every education sector and background, and at every stage of their professional lives.
She is a regular keynote speaker at education conferences and has written articles and a regular column for the Times Educational Supplement.
