On 9 November Brighton Aldridge Community Academy’s Gifted and Talented Science students in years 8 and 9 took part in a Wearable Technology Workshop. The workshop was run by Sussex University Student Ambassadors.
The interactive workshop enabled BACA students to understand the relevance of technology and electronics to clothing, apparel and fashion, both currently and in the future.
Students designed and created their own wearable technology using thread to conduct energy from a hidden battery to LED lights that decorated baseball hats. This exercise helped students explore how wearable technology is used in a real world context.
