SSAT, the schools, students and teachers network, has given Darwen Aldridge Community Academy’s Sixth Form an Educational Outcomes Award in recognition of the above average progress made by DACA’s students last year.
The body complies a unique database comparing performance at non-selective schools nationally. It combines Department for Education and Ofsted data on every state-funded school in the country, enabling schools to benchmark performance using over 40 different metrics.
The SSAT award citation to DACA said:
“Congratulations to everyone at your school on your excellent performance last year. I’m delighted to announce that your school has won an SSAT Educational Outcomes award in recognition for achieving significantly higher than national average student progress among non-selective schools in applied general subjects at key stage 5.
SSAT is committed to recognising the successes of schools in improving the lives of children, and the Educational Outcomes Awards are one way that we do this. The awards celebrate high standards of teaching and learning, outstanding support and inspirational leadership of students, staff, parents and governors in schools.”
