Darwen Aldridge Enterprise Studio School teachers Mark Woodward and Scott Feast are hoping for success with their new film, Soil, which premieres in October and will be shown at various film festivals.
Soil is set in the 1800s and is a tale of betrayal and revenge following the lives of two gravediggers. Its cast of four includes Bruce Jones, who played Les Battersby in Coronation Street for several years, and Matt Milne, who appeared in the ITV drama Downton Abbey.
Scott, who teaches film and media at the Studio, is an award winning filmmaker who’s previous work has won critical acclaim at international film festivals. Mark, who teaches English, told Pendle Today: “We wrote the screenplay for Soil together and both produced the film. Some of our sixth form students worked on the shoot gaining valuable experience by working alongside a professional film crew.”
