Rotary Club Awards Recognise Students’ Community Commitment

Portslade Aldridge Community Academy students’ commitment to their community was recognised at the end of summer term by the Rotary Club of Brighton in its Young Citizen Award scheme. At an awards ceremony  at the Hilton Hotel, Brighton, where the Lord Lieutenant of East Sussex, Mr Peter Field, handed out the awards, no less than 119 PACA students received either a Bronze, Silver or Gold  Awards for their service to the community.

The academy’s Duke of Edinburgh students and Social Action Committee members were amongst those picking up Silver and Gold awards. “It’s amazing to see so many young people from across the city coming together and being recognised for a year of social action” PACA teachers and Head of the Social Action Committee Flynn commented. “I’d like to congratulate all our winners! ”
