BACA Principal Dylan DaviesDylan Davies became Brighton Aldridge Community Academy’s second Principal succeeding Phil Hogg on her retirement, taking up the role in January 2014.

Mr. Davies joined from City of London Academy, which he had joined nine years previously as Head of Science.  As Senior Vice Principal he oversaw year on year improvements at the school culminating in an 18% point rise in 5A*-C GCSEs including English and Maths to 61% in one year, putting the academy in the top ten most improved London secondary schools for 2012. He had previously taught in schools in South East England, Wales and Japan during a career spanning twenty years in secondary education.

On joining the academy Mr Davies said: “We are a high achieving academy with a rich academic offering. We believe that anything is possible and encourage combination of our entrepreneurial ethos, specialism in sports and technological focus to raise standards, whilst developing the key skills of every student that is necessary to achieve success in the 21st century.”
