Brighton Aldridge Community Academy
Brighton Aldridge Community Academy opened in 2010 as the successor to Falmer High School, becoming Aldridge Education’s second sponsored academy. Just one year later, students and staff moved into a brand-new, purpose-built campus featuring exceptional sports facilities, entrepreneurship spaces, cutting-edge IT suites and a dedicated sixth form centre.
Today, BACA is a thriving 11–18 academy that proudly achieved a “Good” rating across all areas in 2024/25 - a significant milestone in its ongoing journey to deliver an exceptional education for every learner.
BACA’s curriculum, enrichment offer and wider student experience are all designed with one aim: to ensure young people learn, thrive and keep moving forward. The Academy’s £30 million state-of-the-art facilities - including an outstanding construction programme as part of BACA College - offer inspiring environments for practical, creative and academic learning. Beyond the classroom, a rich mix of extra-curricular activities, educational visits and unique partnerships broaden students’ horizons and help build valuable life skills.
BACA is also home to world-class sporting academies in cricket and football. Through partnerships with Sussex Cricket and the Russell Martin Foundation respectively, students benefit from elite-level coaching and development opportunities alongside their studies — all fully funded, with no cost to families.
