At Aldridge Education, we believe education should do more than prepare students for exams - it should prepare them for life. 
That’s why we’ve created Connect and Connect+: personalised, inclusive programmes designed to give every young person the knowledge, skills and experiences they need to thrive beyond school.

  • Sarah Carroll
    Head of Enterprise and Personal Development

    Sarah Carroll

    Sarah joined Aldridge Education in April 2023, as the Trust Lead for Enterprise and Personal Development. Prior to taking up this role, she led Personal Development in an outstanding secondary school, alongside a secondment as an Associate School Improvement Officer for a Local Education Authority. Sarah has taught a range of subjects over the years, in schools in the North West and London, most recently focusing on PSHE and Citizenship, as well line managing humanities and social science subjects. In addition, she has been part of the DSL team, and supported staff as an NPQ mentor.

    Sarah has also worked as a freelance consultant to a range of charities and businesses, including the BBC, developing content and resources that have been shared nationally.

    She holds a Masters of Education from the University of Exeter, and has completed an NPQSL.

What is Aldridge Connect? 

Aldridge Connect brings together our careers education, enterprise learning, and cultural capital into one joined-up programme for all students, starting in Year 5. 

 

Through Connect, students: 

 

  • Take part in a structured programme of careers and personal development activities. 
  • Meet with careers advisors, take part in work experience tasters, and develop CV and interview skills. 
  • Gain real-world insight through trips, workshops and events - from museum and theatre visits to diversity days and first aid training. 
  • Learn the value of enterprise and innovation through hands-on projects that build creativity and confidence. 

 

Connect helps every student to see how learning links to life - and to start building the future they want. 

 

What is Connect+?

Connect+ goes even further, ensuring that every student - especially those who need extra support - receives tailored guidance to thrive. 
It includes targeted interventions and additional opportunities to build confidence, resilience and independence. 

 

At Aldridge Education, leaving no one behind means giving every learner what they need to succeed, so that all our students can take their next steps with pride and purpose.
