International Women’s Day 2026
International Women's Day 2026
Yesterday marked International Women’s Day: a moment to recognise the extraordinary contribution of women across our schools and communities.
Across Aldridge Education, women play a vital role in bringing learning to life every day. As teachers, leaders, support staff, mentors and role models, they help create the inclusive, ambitious environments where our learners can grow.
Many of our senior leadership roles - including our Chief Executive Officer (Jane Fletcher) and Chief Operating Officer (Bryony Green) - are held by women, and that's something we're really proud of. But the impact of women at Aldridge Education is felt at every level. In classrooms, offices, playgrounds and workshops: every day, women across our settings support learners to ensure no one is left behind, helping them to overcome barriers, discover their potential and achieve more than they thought possible.
This year’s International Women’s Day theme, “Give to Gain,” reflects the powerful ripple-effect of supporting others in order to create opportunity and progress for all. That spirit is evident across Aldridge Education. The women across our schools and settings give their energy, expertise and care to support young people and colleagues alike - and in doing so, help build stronger, more inclusive learning communities for all.
Of course, extraordinary women don't exist in a vacuum, and it goes without saying that men across our schools do incredible work too.
But this one is for all the brilliant women across Aldridge Education: thank you for the difference you make every single day. And to our learners - we're excited to hand the baton on to you, as the next generation, to champion hashtagGirlPower. Strong women: may we know them, may we be them, may we raise them.
