Celebrating this year’s sixth-form results Darwen Aldridge Enterprise Studio Principal Colin Grand said: “The Studio is once again celebrating a strong set of results with students heading towards some fantastic career and university destinations. The majority of the students have studied at the Studio since joining in Year 9 at age 13. We have worked closely together in our college community and we see this as a real milestone for many who are the first in their families to study at university.
Lydia Taylor has studied at the Studio since she was 13 and has specialised in Photography, TV & Film Production and Graphic Design. Lydia received an unconditional offer from Leeds University and will be studying BA Hons Visual Communication following a great set of results that includes an ‘A*’ in Photography, ‘Distinction* in TV & Film Production and an ‘A’ in Graphic design. Lydia said: “It’s been an amazing experience studying here over the last few years. It’s almost like a family in terms of having that connection with fellow students and teachers. I am so pleased with my results. My journey at the Studio has been amazing. I’m really pleased with my outcomes, especially my A* in Photography. I’m off to Leeds Arts University and can’t wait to start!”
Bradley Aspin has followed the Studio’s computing pathway and has today collected his results in Game Design, ICT and Business, where he achieved Merit and Distinction grades stating “I’m delighted with my results and now go on to study computer games development at UCLAN.”

Sam said “My time at the Studio School has been really positive and friendly and I am really happy with my results.” Sam is taking a gap year to work on his business and before going on to study at university.
Principal Colin Grand added: “We are delighted with the outcomes for our students, they absolutely deserve the grades they have achieved this year. Over three-quarters of our A-Level passes were at top A*-B grades. I would like to congratulate all of our Year 13 students on their amazing levels of professionalism and resilience this year. It has been a pleasure to work with every student.“
