Portslade Aldridge Community Academy
Portslade Aldridge Community Academy (PACA) opened in 2011 - a school with deep local roots and a special connection to Aldridge Education’s patron, Sir Rod Aldridge, who once walked its corridors as a student.
PACA sits in a uniquely inspiring location: right on the edge of the South Downs, with the city, the coast and the countryside all within reach. This setting shapes the school’s identity, offering learners a wealth of experiences that spark curiosity, build confidence and open doors to new possibilities.
Teaching more than 900 students from Years 7 to 11, PACA blends academic ambition with an exceptional enrichment programme. From thriving sports and arts opportunities to the hugely popular Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme, the school ensures young people have every chance to grow, explore and discover their strengths.
Above all, PACA is a place where every learner is known. Staff see each student as an individual: understanding who they are, what motivates them, and how to help them succeed both now and in their future lives. It is this commitment to personal connection, combined with strong academic rigour, that makes PACA a vibrant community where young people truly flourish.
