The Early Career Framework (ECF) is a two-year training and support entitlement for newly qualified teachers and their in-school mentors, funded by the Department for Education (DfE). From September 2021, all early career teachers, no matter how they initially trained, will be expected to complete it. This two-year programme will replace the current one-year induction, giving extended support to teachers at this critical time in their career. The training starts following a teacher’s initial teacher training and continues the following year.

Aldridge Education will be partnering with Teach First to deliver an Ofsted rated ‘outstanding’ Early Career Framework programme to schools across the country. By choosing to partner with us, you will gain access to a fully-funded course of study for both your Early Career Teachers and their mentors. Teach First’s school-led programme developed with schools for schools is the only provider to offer a subject and phase bespoke seminars for second year ECTs. It was created by expert teacher educators to maximise the development of your ECTs and mentors.

I joined Aldridge Education as an NQT and, as a result of fantastic support, professional development opportunities and excellent coaching I have now progressed to Assistant Principal. The coaching I have and continue to receive has enabled me to get better faster, provide a quality education to the students in my care and provide career progression.

It will be delivered by Aldridge Education's high-quality CPD facilitation team who have experience of delivering training across a diverse range of communities and educational phases. Your Early Career Teachers and their mentors will benefit from a face-to-face launch conference, flexible online content, and ECF seminars which will enhance the experience in their first year of induction.

If you would like to learn more or express your interest in our ECF offer, please email our team at growingtogether@aldridgeeducation.org. We will then be in touch to arrange a follow-up discussion with a member of our ECF team.

Those in the early stages of their teaching career benefit from meticulously thought-through training that comprehensively covers the knowledge and skills outlined in the ECF. The ECF content is incorporated within a curriculum that includes extensive illustrations of what this might look like in practice in different subjects and phases. Leaders place tackling disadvantage at the heart of the decisions they make about key aspects of training. Detailed sessions, led by well-informed facilitators, prepare ECTs to decide how best to bring the ECF alive in their own specific teaching contexts.
