Trust Lead English (South)

Reports to: CEO
Start date: 1 September 2021
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000, depending on experience
Contract: Permanent

About this role

The Trust Lead for English will promote and implement strategies for improving attainment in English across the Trust.  Working in partnership with the CEO, other Trust Leads, Principals, Heads of Department and Aldridge staff, the role involves a strategic overview of the subject across the Trust, involvement in planning and school improvement, alongside day to day involvement with English departments.  This will include activities such as coaching, planning, leadership development, supporting lessons and intervention, modelling strong practice, data analysis, curriculum development, support with student intervention and leading regional subject meetings.

Darwen Vale High School

From September 2021 we require an Assistant Principal to lead Darwen Vale’s Mathematics Faculty on the next stage of its improvement journey. There will be opportunities for cross-cluster working and wider whole school responsibilities.

 You are to carry out the professional duties of a school teacher as set out in the current School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document. 

All colleagues are expected to demonstrate a wholehearted commitment to the development of the Faculty and leadership of the Assistant Principal (Maths) and other TLR holders in preparing for, and adapting to, the changing needs of the Faculty. 

Your primary leadership role as the Assistant Principal (Maths) is to raise and maintain standards across all areas within the Mathematics Faculty. 

You will model the entrepreneurial traits of having a determination to succeed and a positive attitude in all aspects of your work. You will endeavour to instill these attitudes in colleagues and students. You will be sincere in the belief that no barrier can prevent a student from achieving.

We are seeking to appoint a hands on, experienced and highly motivated individual as Senior IT Technician. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with proven skills, problem-solving ability and aspirations to undertake the management of day-to-day operations on our sites, managing call queues and helping IT Technicians on site in delivering excellent customer support services.

The role would suit someone who has initiative, experience working in a busy school or cluster environment and excellent communication skills. The IT team handles all aspects of the IT infrastructure and services. The Senior Technician will work closely with IT Team to provide management of IT services, general IT support, and help design solutions regarding network and system configurations and installations.
